Jigawa assembly gets N12.1bn supplementary appropriation bill

OrderPaperToday – The Speaker of Jigawa State House of Assembly, Isa Gwaram has said the assembly received a supplementary appropriation bill of N12.1 billion for the 2017 fiscal year from Governor Muhammad Badaru.

Gwaram made this known on Wednesday at plenary where he stated that the aim of the fund is to touch on critical projects that were not given enough attention in the 2017 budget.

Giving a break down of how the money would be disbursed, the speaker of the house indicated that N 5 billion would be given to farmers on projects to include agricultural loans.

N1.42 billion would be gulped by some projects being executed by some ministries and agencies in the state.
Others are some new road projects to cost N1 billion, solar power irrigation scheme that will take N100 million and others for which N4.28 billion was appropriated.
