OrderPaperToday– The Sokoto state House of Assembly has suspended two lawmakers owing to unethical conduct.
According to the assembly, the conduct contravened the house standing rules.
The suspended members are; Sani Yakubu (APC- Gudu) and Malami Galadanchi (APC- Sokoto North I).
The assembly had earlier set up a special committee to investigate the conduct of the two members during the recent impeachment of the Deputy House Leader, Kabiru Ibrahim.
The chairman of the committee, Habibu Modachi (APC- Isa), reading the report on Tuesday said the two members had pleaded guilty to the charges against them.
The report was accepted mandating Yakubu to proceed on 40 legislative days suspension while Galadanchi was suspended for 30 legislative days.
The two were also told to submit separate letters of apology to the assembly.
