2019: Mark intensifies consultations with military colleagues, visits IBB 

OrderPaperToday – In furtherance with his presidential campaign, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential contender, Senator David Mark, has visited the former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida.
This is coming on the heels of a similar consultation with ex-military colleagues of the former senate president, who lined up behind his aspiration.
Babaginda reportedly showered encomiums on Mark who visited the former at his residence in Minna, Niger state.
Senator Mark was accompanied by his campaign Director General, Senator Zainab Kure, Senators Tunde Ogbeha and Suleiman Adokwe.
According to the statement released by the Immediate past Senate President’s Media Assistant, Paul Mummeh on Saturday, the meeting held behind closed doors for an hour.
Babangida had praised Senator Mark for his steadfastness in the service of the nation over the years without blemish saying that “with your experience over the years , you have a lot to offer the nation”.
Director General of Mark campaign organization Senator Kure stated that the meeting was fruitful pointing out that Babangida showered encomium on Mark who is eminently equipped to be president of Nigeria.
According to Kure, “we are bringing a man who is experienced and prepared to restore the pride and dignity of the giant of Africa. Nigerians would see the positive difference if Senator Mark is elected President in 2019”.
