OrderPaperToday – The House of Representatives member representing Vandeikya/Konshisha federal constituency of Benue State, Mrs. Dorathy Mato, has called on all sons and daughters of Mbadede community in Vandeikya local government area to embrace unity, peace and love so as to attain greater heights in the political space.
The lawmaker said this during an interactive forum organized by Mbadede sons led by Mr. Chris Aondoakaa, Kenneth Gyado, Emma Tembe, Terver Ayua_Jor, Martin Gyado, Bem Gyado and Tersteagh Tion.
According to her, “you will agree with me that the PDP-led government under Governor Samuel Ortom has failed us. As elections are approaching this is the time to unite and speak in one voice so that we can all build a formidable force to push our demands forward.”
Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the group, Mr. Chris Aondokaa said “this is not a political forum but it is more of a unity forum to discuss the future of people from Mbadede community and Vandeikya in general”.
He continued: “Without peace and unity we cannot achieve anything so irrespective of political affiliations we must remain one indivisible family and support our own whether good or bad”.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Jack Gyado a former senator in the Second Republic who also hails from the community said “every good thing in this constituency always emanate from Mbadede community and we also have the population to call the shots and even politically we have the numerical strength.We have 49 polling units.
Senator Gyado, who is also the Director General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial campaign organization, urged the people of the community to protect their votes and assured them of inclusiveness if APC wins governorship in the 2019 general elections.
“For us to get anything from the incoming government of Jime we must deliver our polling units because we have the population. When the chips are down we shall also make our request accordingly.”
