OrderPaperToday – The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has adopted President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as its presidential candidate for the 2019 general election.

Recall that two party members, Jerry Gana and Donald Duke have been immersed in a legal battle over SDP’s presidential ticket.

The Court of Appeal in Abuja last month reinstated Duke as the candidate of the party for the presidential poll after a FCT High Court initially sacked him and affirmed Gana as the rightful presidential candidate.

The latest decision to adopt President Muhammadu Buhari as the SDP Presidential Candidate formed part of the resolutions reached at the National Executive Council meeting of the party today.
