OrderPaperToday- President Muhammadu Buhari has sent the 2018 budget proposal of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to the Senate.

This year’s proposed budget for the commission comes up to a total of N346.5 billion, while the approved budget for 2017 was N364,508 billion.

The letter was sent to the red chamber on Monday.

Reading the letter on Tuesday, the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, gave the breakdown of its revenue and expenditure profile.

“Other realisable income from total revenue approved in 2017, N364 million, proposed budget 2018, N346 billion. Personnel Expenditure at N17.79 billion as 2017 approved and 2018 proposed personnel at N19.5 billion.

“Overhead cost is N12.73 billion, Personal expenditure of 2017 approved budget N4.4billion, N2.88 billion was proposed was proposed in 2018.

“Development and special projects 2017 approved budget in N329 billion, 2018 proposed N311 billion. Total expenditure 2017 approved N364 billion, 2018 proposed total expenditure 346 billion.”
