OrderPaperToday – A mass-oriented civic advocacy group, Centre for NGOs and Citizens Engagement (CNC), has announced the appointment of renowned public affairs commentator and security expert, Mr. Dennis Amachree, as chairman of its Board.
A statement by the national president of CNC, Mr. Ukpola Okereke Chinedu, said Amachree replaces Mr. D.N. Kaze, who is currently involved in an international assignment with the united Nations and therefore can no serve as the board chairman.
The statement noted that the appointment is with immediate effect.
Mr. Amachree, MON, is a consummate security risk manager and an alumnus of the California State University Graduate School as well as the Wharton Business School. He retired as a Director of the State Security Services (SSS).
After 15 years in public service, he moved to the private sector as Security Manager for Halliburton Energy Services and Addax Petroleum Development Company. He was later appointed as the Senior Regional Security Director for General Electric (GE).
Mr. Amachree is a fellow of three security institutes, including the Institute of Security at the University of Lagos. He is currently a Security Consultant and analyst on national security issues.
He was the CNC State coordinator for Lagos and member of the CNC Governing Council.
