Court sacks Enoh as Cross River APC gubernatorial candidate

OrderPaperToday – A Federal High Court sitting in Calabar, Cross River State, has sacked Senator John Owan Enoh as the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.

Also sacked are the factional leadership of the party under Mr John Ochalla that produced Senator Enoh as its candidate and other candidates of the party.

It would be recalled that Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in its final release for gubernatorial candidates, listed Senator Enoh’s name.

The judgment given by Justice Simon Amobeda on Monday ruled that Usani Usani be recognised as the true candidate of the party.

Amobeda said: “INEC should only receive and accept the names and candidates for the 2019 elections that emerged from the lawful executive led by Godwin Etim John”.

Justice Amobeda there after cautioned people in the APC presenting themselves as the executive members of the APC, to desist from doing so, ordering that the only recognised and lawful executive of APC in Cross River remains that which is led by Godwin Etim John.
