OrderPaperToday– The House of Representatives has said it will not receive visitors henceforth pending when the Coronavirus pandemic is over.
This is just as urged the federal government to shut down places of worship to curtail the spread of the deadly coronavirus which has ravaged several countries.
It, however, rejected an amendment seeking to shut down schools in Nigeria.
Furthermore, the House urged the federal government ti liaise with other countries on how to secure testing kits for detecting the presence of the virus and urged all public institutions to run temperature tests.
The lawmakers also mandated the minister of Health to ensure the leadership of the House of Representatives is briefed weekly on progress made in addressing the spread of the virus.
The resolutions were sequel to amendments of House on a motion of national public importance moved on Wednesday by Mr Muktar Chawai (APC, Kaduna) that there should be a ban of all foreign flights coming into the country as opposed to the thirteen countries banned by the federal government.
The motion was passed when Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila put it to question.
