‘FG to commence multi-million naira ecology project in Surulere’

OrderPaperToday – Leader of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has assured of an ecological channelisation of Surulere in Lagos State.

According to Gbajabiamila, the Federal Government sponsored project was facilitated by him.

Gbajabiamila made this known during an interactive session with community leaders and youth of Paddington in Surulere.

He said: “By Saturday we will be doing the Ecological channelisation of all the entire hybrid canals across the boundaries and major ecological routes in Surulere Federal Constituency 1. I make bold to say that the federal government’s ecological fund office is doing this multi –million naira national environmental project in only Surulere 1 Federal Constituency.

“I believe it will now allow the environmental work the Surulere local government is doing to become more effective because to tackle the actual source of the flooding problem our local government council lacks such huge funding”.

During the interactive session, President of Paddington Youth Forum, Mr Michael Thomas expressed appreciation to the House Leader for the project and the representation at the federal parliament.
