Kwara assembly decides 10-year imprisonment for ritualists

OrderPaperToday – The Kwara State House of Assembly has passed a bill to punish people involved in dealing human parts.

The bill was sponsored by the member representing Owode/Onire constituency, Abdul Rashid Abdullahi, and it states that anyone who buys, sells or has any human parts in his possession will spend 10 years in prison and pay a fine of N100,000.

Additionally, the law frowns at anybody who looks for, gives, sells or uses things used to bath, clean or remove human corpses.

In his reaction, the Speaker, Ali Ahmad, expressed happiness on the passage of the bill because it reflects the wishes of the people of the State.
