Kwara gov picks nomination forms for Senate

OrderPaperToday – Kwara State Governor, Abudulfatah Ahmed has declared his interest in the Kwara South Senatorial ticket under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Senior Special Assistant, Media and Communications to the governor, Femi Akorede confirmed this on Saturday on his facebook page that Ahmed  has collected his nomination form.

Gov Ahmed in a tweet also confirmed this on his official twitter handle @AbdulfataAhmed.

“In response to calls by my people and in keeping with my strong desire to upscale the excellent work we have done in all three zones of the state, through effective, purposeful representation, I have picked up the PDP nomination form for Kwara South Senatorial District.

“Besides demonstrating our commitment to the well-being of our people through affordable health insurance, @KwaraCare testifies to value of continuity in governance. @Kwaracare was preceded by Community Health Insurance, initiated through the foresight HE @bukolasaraki,” he tweeted.

The seat is currently occupied by Sen Rafiu Ibrahim, who is also a member of the PDP, a first timer in the Senate and a close ally of the Senate President.
