OrderPaperToday – The lawmaker representing Epe federal constituency of Lagos State, Mr. Wale Raji has congratulated the people of Ajoromi/Ifelodu federal constituency and the All Progressives Congress (APC) for electing Mr. Kolawole Taiwo to represent them at the House of Representatives.
The member expressed joy and excitement over that describing it as a big catch for the party due to the arrogance displayed by the opposition People Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Mrs Rita Orji.
Speaking to OrderPaperNG through a telephone chat, Raji said, “I want to congratulate the newly elected member, Kolawole Taiwo for emerging victorious in the just concluded rerun election for Ajeromi/Ifelodu federal constituency. We Lagosians are very happy with the outcome of this election precisely because the candidate of the opposition People Democratic Party (PDP) displayed arrogance and also disrespected indigenes of the constituency.
He continued: “You are not from that community yet you were given the opportunity to represent the people and suddenly you become very arrogant to the extent of insulting even elders which to me it’s not right. Hon Emmanuel Oghene and Tony Nwolu are both non indigenes and of the PDP extraction but they relate with us in the APC very well. They have never insulted any elder at any fora. I’m happy Hon. Rita Orji lost the election and it is a welcome development.”
Mr. Kolawole Taiwo of the APC defeated Mrs Rita Orji of the PDP in a rerun election that took place on Saturday, the 27 of April 2019 after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared the election inconclusive on February 23.
