OrderPaperToday- The House of Representatives has resolved to consider all requests forwarded by President Muhammadu Buhari, regardless of their political party.
The Chairman of the House committee on Media and Public Affairs, Abdulrazak Namdas, revealed this to newsmen in Abuja at press a briefing.
Namdas said all members have agreed to set aside their party differences to work harmoniously in the interest the country.
He said the House will work assiduously to consider and pass the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC Budget for election, the Electoral Act and the Euro bond request forwarded by the Executive.
The lawmaker hinted that the electoral act, earlier rejected by President Muhammadu Buhari, contains the use of card reader.
Additionally, the House spokesman dismissed claims by the National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum (NASLAF) that their Duty Tour Allowances (DTA) have not been paid.
While expressing dismay over the series of protests embarked on by NASLAF, Namdas explained that the Duty Tour Allowances are only earned when legislative aides embark on trips.
He accused the aides of not carrying along their principal officers, before embarking on the protest.
Recall that the legislative aides, upon resumption of the long recess by lawmakers, protested that their Duty Tour Allowances (DTA), and other working equipments, have not be given to them despite being captured in the National Assembly budget.
