OrderPaperToday – The National Assembly has has adjourned its plenary in a bid to proceed for Yuletide break.

The lawmakers are expected to resume on the 16th of January 2019.

The Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan moved the motion for adjournment at the end of plenary on Thursday.

While moving the motion, Senator Lawan appreciated PDP Senators, Parliamentary staff, journalists and others ‘who made 2018 successful’.

The Presiding Officer, Ike Ekweremadu, in his remarks wished Nigerians a Happy Yuletide season and urged them to drive safely.

Adjournment was adopted when put to a voice vote.
