OrderPaperToday – The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA) have announced a new partnership on staff capacity development.

He noted that the partnership is in tune with the 8-point agenda of the commission, specifically the strategic partnership and collaboration agenda of the commission.
Danbatta disclosed that the new partnership would make “NCC a role model of best financial services that any government agency can offer.” He added that “adding value to our financial services, improving the integrity of service, professionally enhancing the knowledge of staff of NCC, particularly staff of department of financial services.”
Danbatta also revealed that to derive the best out of the staff of the commission, plan is already underway to move some staff to annex office of the commission.
The EVC however noted that the partnership cannot make the right progress until everyone has access to Internet. He also noted that the objective of the commission has shifted from facilitating to regulating access and quality in the industry.
He said “we have about 20 years to reduce access gap, but rural dwellers can not wait for 20 years, we strive for equity, by not disenfranchising some people, to improve access to government benefits such as financial inclusion policy of this administration.”
The Country Head of the ACCA in his speech earlier, described the NCC as “iconic”, noting that the partnership is to strengthen the already shared value between NCC and ACCA.
