The election which held on the 23rd of February proved a win for Dimka of the All Progressives Progress (APC) to represent Plateau Central Senatorial District having defeated former Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) boss, David Paradang of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to the results from the election, Dimka garnered 149,457 votes against Paradang, who scored 145,048 votes from five local governments of the district comprising Mangu, Bokkos, Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam.
The Senator-elect is a retired Commissioner of Police. He was born in March 1952 at Kabwir, Ngas from Kanke LGA of Plateau State.
On the 22nd of March, 2018, he was inaugurated by President Muhammadu Buhari as a member of the board of TETFUND together with other board members of the tertiary institutions of education in Nigeria.
He is happily married to Mrs. Esther Hezekiah Dimka, a retired Deputy Commissioner of Police and they are both blessed with three children.
