OrderPaperToday – It was a victory story for Ajibola Bashiru as he just won to represent Osun Central senatorial district in the just concluded election.
According to the Returning Officer, Prof. Titilayo Adelaje from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Ajibola who contested under the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC) scored 132,821 votes to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa who got 106,779 votes in the election.
The Senator-elect was born on July 1, 1972. He had his primary education in Osogbo where he attended Salvation Army Primary School, Oke-Fia, Osogbo, Osun State, 1983. He proceeded to Laro Grammar School, Oke-Fia, Osogbo, Osun State where he sat for WASC/GCE O’Level in 1988.
He was admitted to the University of Ilorin to study Arabic and Islamic Studies but was expelled from the university when he was in Part 3. He put in for JAMB exam and got admission to study Law at the University Of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos and was awarded Bachelor of Laws after studies from 1994 to 2000. He attended the Nigeria Law School, Bwari, Abuja, FCT. (2001-2002) and had Second Class, Upper Division.
From 2005-2006 he attended University of Lagos and obtained an LLM (Master Of Laws) and also a Ph.D from same school.
He was former Chief Whip of the Osun State House of Assembly. Now, he’s currently serving as the Attorney General and Honorable Commissioner for Justice in the state.
