OrderPaperToday – Among the few females that made it to the House of Representative in the 9th assembly and also making it to the list of first timers is Oluga Taiwo Olukemi.
Mrs. Oluga who was the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) won the February 23 national assembly elections to represent Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan federal constituency of Osun state after defeating Akinroye Kolapo Kingsley of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) among other candidates.
Olukemi was born on 20th June, 1975 in Gbongan, Osun State. She attended primary and secondary schools in her home state and remained there to pursue a tertiary education degree at the Federal Polytechnic, Ede.
She later attended the Tower College of Technology in the United Kingdom (Distance learning) where she obtained a certificate in Education in 2008. Immediately after graduating, she proceeded to Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) to obtain a PGD in Management Studies.
During her industrial attachment, she worked at the Political and Security Department at the Governor’s Office in Osogbo (1997-1998). She was appointed as a part time trainer in Center for Entrepreneurship Development in Federal Polytechnic Ede. (2011-2013).
She aspired to contest for a seat in the Osun State House of Assembly in 2015 and was appointed as board member state library in 2014. She was also appointed as a Special Adviser to the Governor on Culture and Tourism (2017 – 2018).
The lawmaker-elect is married to Dr. S. O. Oluga and blessed with children.
