OrderPaperToday – Mr. Tyough Robert Aondona is getting set to represent the people of Kwande/Ushongo federal constituency of Benue State for the first time.
He contested and won the recently conducted national assembly elections under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after defeating other candidates including the incumbent, Wayo Iorember Benjamin of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Mr. Robert was born on 9th day of June, 1971 and hails from Kwande Local Government of Benue State. Fondly referred to by many as Bob Tyough, he attended Government College, Makurdi, between 1980 and 1985. He obtained a Certificate in Executive Grade Accounts and Auditing at the Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo between 1986 and 1987; and bagged a Diploma in Law at the same institution between 1987 and 1989 after which he proceeded to the prestigious University of Jos where he studied from 1991 to 1995 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts.
He later proceeded to the University of Calabar where after a Postgraduate Diploma in Management between 1998 and 1999, he also bagged a Master’s in Business Administration.
Upon completion of his Service year, Bob Tyough has been in the private sector, peaking as MD/CEO of his company. From 2007 to 2011, he was a Member, Management Board, Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi. Currently, the new lawmaker holds the exalted position of Chairman, Management Board, Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, Delta State.
