OrderPaperToday – A delegation of Plateau legislators led by a former speaker of the state house of assembly, Mr. Joshua Madaki, has commended Mr. Yusuf Gagdi representing Pankshin, Kanam and Kanke federal constituency in the House of Representatives for providing what they called quality representation.
The delegation of 12 comprising of members of the body of principal officers of the 8th assembly of the house said paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Gagdi on Friday during which they registered their goodwill over the lawmaker’s elevation to the National Assembly.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation of Plateau legislators, Madaki said that the quality of Mr. Gagdi’s contributions in the federal parliament shows that he is truly an ambassador of the house of assembly in the nation’s capital.
He said: “Today the 12 members of the house of assembly are here to thank you. You are a worthy ambassador of the 8th assembly. The quality of your contributions at the green chamber shows that you are a true ambassador”.
Responding, the federal lawmaker, who chairs the House Committee on Navy, said that he appreciates the visit by his former colleagues.
He informed the delegation that he sponsored the bill on Police Reform that preceded the #ENDSARS protests which has resulted into the reform of the Police unit. The President signed the police bill into law in September this year.
He further said that he would continue to partner with people of like minds for the development of the country as he prayed that posterity will remember him for it.
Recall that in a recent report published by OrderPaper Nigeria on the bills chart of Plateau legislators in their one year in the National Assembly, Mr. Gagdi is recorded to have sponsored nine bills despite being a new lawmaker in the House of Representatives.
