OrderPaperToday – The House of Representatives on Thursday adjourned plenary sitting for two weeks.
The presiding officer and deputy speaker, Mr. Idris Wase, made the announcement during plenary session.
Accordingly, the House moved for the suspension of its rules to enable members adopt the votes and proceeding of the day.
The House Leader, Alhassan Ado Doguwa moved that the House should suspend its relevant rules to allow for the adoption of the Votes and Proceedings of the day.
It was agreed by the members.
The House also announced a setting up of a new standing committee: Committee on Safety, Standards and Regulations, following concerns raised about safety in public places.
The committee is to be chaired by Mr. Hamza Ibrahim
