OrderPaperToday – As more and more citizens become aware and engage with the ConsTrack mobile, members of the House of Representatives have endorsed the platform as a veritable tool for constituents to track constituency projects of legislators.
The ConsTrack app which was recently launched by OrderPaper Nigeria aims at engendering transparency, accountability and inclusiveness in the implementation of constituency projects in the country.
Several stakeholders have commended the birth of this initiative and lawmakers are not willing to be left out in the endorsement drive.
The Member representing Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Mbaise federal constituency of Imo state, Mr. Raphael Igbokwe while endorsing the app, believes “the quest for youths inclusion in politics will benefit more if youths in elected positions deliver effective and accountable representation.”
Mr. Igbokwe’s perspective is informed by the fact of his capacity as President of the Young Parliamentarians Forum in Nigeria and also being one of the champions of the #NotTooYoungToRun law which expands the space for youth participation in governance through lowering the constitutional qualification to run for office.
“I endorse and commend the ConsTrack App,” the lawmaker said in a message to OrderPaper Nigeria.
In his own message, Chairman of the House committee on Public Accounts and Member representing Obio/Akpor federal constituency of Rivers state, Kingsley Chinda, linked the app to effective representation in parliament.
“I stand and support effective and efficient representation. I commend and endorse ConsTrack app,” he said, adding: “It adds value to effective and efficient democratic representation.”
