OrderPaperToday – Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has constituted three ad-hoc committees to enable the 9th Assembly get up to a smooth start and running well.
The ad-hoc committees are on Welfare, Selection and Media.
Briefing newsmen shortly after an executive session of the House on Thursday, chairperson of the ad-hoc committee on media, Mrs. Kadijat Ibrahim said the House remain united regardless of party affiliation of members.
According to her, “we are going to close all platforms regarding the campaign of the incumbent Speaker. A new one will be created to carry every member along.
“We went into groups according to our states to form these ad-hoc committees.”
She also said “the Speaker will visit constituency offices of States to know what is happening with the Constituency projects.
“We want to make sure there is progress in this country. We are going to work hand in hand with the executive arm in line with the provisions of the constitution.”
The ad-hoc committee on media is made up of 12 members.
