OrderPaperToday – The member representing Katsina Ala/Ukum/Logo federal constituency of Benue State (PDP), Mr. Richard Gbande has condemned the action of the embattled former presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (AAC) and Publisher of Sahara Reports, Mr. Omoyele Sowore for attempting to lead a revolution against democratically elected government.
The lawmaker warned that such action could lead to anarchy and should not even be given a second thought but rather advised that  people should embrace other means of airing their grievances as the law permits.
The following remarks were made via a telephone conversation with our reporter.
“Anything worth doing is worth doing well and we must learn to operate under the ambit of the law. No matter the condition and situation of things it is better to operate under the ambit of the law. So the law should take it course.”
Though Gbande appealed to all those aggrieved with the current situation of things in the country to be patient and resolute since four years was a very short time that they would carry out the revolution through the ballot.
“No matter how bad things seems currently in the country four years is not long a time and Nigerians can mobilize themselves and vote out bad lead which is the only way to go instead of taking laws into our hands. Also Nigerians must be willing to protect their votes moving forward”.
He further advised the judiciary to leave up to its responsibility of defending the people. “As  for the judiciary, they should also understand that Nigerians are watching and therefore they must be up to their responsibility so that there would not jeopardize our democracy”.
Mr. Sowore had last week Monday proposed a mass protest in the form of a revolution to change the course of things in the country. He accused the government of Buhari for promoting corruption, lack of respect for rule of law and organizing one of the worst elections in the history of Nigeria.

  1. Kindly help us let those thieves stealing the commonwealth of Nigeria dry to stop pontificating and put Nigeria and Nigerians on their priority list.
