OrderPaperToday- The President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has picked up a Presidential nomination form, which will allow him contest as a presidential candidate in the 2019 general elections.
He announced his declaration to pursue his presidential ambition during a meeting with the Not Too Young To Run group, yesterday.
He will be battling for the chance to become the president of the country alongside more than 8 other members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), including Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, who equally declared his intent to run earlier in the week.
In a tweet published on Friday, Saraki’s Special Assistant on New Media said: “This afternoon, the Director General of the Saraki Presidential Campaign Organization, Hon. Mohammed Wakil, obtained the Presidential Nomination and Expression of Interest forms from the PDP Headquarters on behalf of Presidential Aspirant, Sen. (Dr.) Abubakar Bukola Saraki.”
