OrderPaperToday – Senate President, Bukola Saraki has changed the chairmanship of the adhoc committee on the minimum wage bill.
The Chief whip, Olusola Adeyeye, has been replaced with Francis Alimikhena.
The change was made following an update on the bill upon resumption of plenary on Tuesday.
Alimikhena reported that Adeyeye traveled for medical attention.
Recall that Adeyeye in a statement sent to OrderPaperNG said he needed to undergo his annual medical checkup after being detected with elevated adrenal hormones.
Meanwhile, the bill was slated for first reading on the Order Paper but was not taken due to the adjournment of plenary over the death of House of Representatives member, Temitope Olatoye Sugar, a tradition constantly observed by the federal parliament.
Before his death, Olatoye was representing Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency of Oyo state.
