OrderPaperToday – Chairman, People’s Democratic Party’s presidential council on Osun state gubernatorial election and President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki has met with the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Iyiola Omisore in the lead up to the re-run billed for Thursday.
The meeting is believed to consolidate the chances of PDP in the rerun.
Saraki who met Omisore at his residence in Ile-Ife on Monday said they have agreed “to work together because our goals are the same.”
Saraki’s words: “I thank Sen. Iyiola Omisore for the warm reception he and his people gave me and members of my entourage in Ile Ife today.
“We have agreed to work together because our goals are the same. We all want good governance in Osun State. Over the next 24 hours, we will work out the details.
“Our discussion will definitely be useful for the growth of democracy in our country; the development of Osun State and its people; as well as for future engagements among political players.
“From now on, it will be a win-win situation for the State of the Land of Virtue, Osun, and Nigeria, in general.”
