OrderPaperToday – The Senate today cut short plenary to allow Senators of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) attend their National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.
The Senate Leader while moving the adjournment took a dig at the opposition Party as he stressed their minority status in the red chamber.
“Let us adjourn to allow our colleagues in the PDP minority to attend and participate in the NEC meeting scheduled for today,” Lawan said.
However, Senate Minority leader, Senator Biodun Olujimi fired back, saying: “I want to thank the Leader for graciously moving the motion, knowing that as the party that will be in power we need to also attend meetings.”
The Senate accordingly adjourned sitting till next week Tuesday, 4th December, 2018.
