OrderPaperToday– The Senate on Wednesday reworked the Nigerian Council for Social Work (Est, etc) Bill, 2019.

The bill was rejected by President Muhammadu Buhari in pursuant to section 58(4) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended).

While conveying his rejection, the President made some observations which are relevant to the implementation of the Bill.

Relying on Orders 53(6) and 88(b) of the Senate Standing Orders, the chamber resolved to rescind its decisions on Clauses 3, 10, 11, 16(2), 18, 21(3) & (4) and 28 of the Bill and commited them to the Committee of the Whole for re-consideration and passage.
