Senator on Trial Donates Relief Materials to Zamfara Victims of Gun Attack

OrderPaperToday – Kabir Marafa representing Zamfara Central at the Senate today donated 1, 000 bags of assorted grains to the victims of gunmen attack in his state.

Marafa who handed the donation to the state government for onward delivery to the victims in Gusau, also gave a cash donation of N2 million to them.

He condemned the continued attacks being carried out by gunmen on innocent citizens particularly in his constituency declaring that “no one knows what their motive is.”

While commending both the State and Federal Government for bringing immediate support to the victims, the Senator promised to bring up the matter before the National Assembly in order to bring the attacks to an end.

While receiving the donations on behalf of the State government, the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency, Alhaji Sanusi Kwatarkwashi thanked the Senator for the timely intervention.

Kwatarkwashi told the Senator that over 400 persons including women, children, the aged and some of their animals were camped at the facility in Gusau by the State government.

He said all the victims had escaped from the three villages of Kelele, Falale and Mutunji in Maru local government area of the state after successive invasion by the gunmen.
