OrderPaperToday – Lawmaker representing Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Ajibola Muraina, has urged his colleagues to contribute at least N100,000 from their earnings to assist returnees from South Africa who recently arrived the country over xenophobic attacks.
Mr. Muraina said while speaking with newsmen in Abuja few days after the House called on the federal government to confer a national honour on chairman of Air Peace, Mr. Allen Onyema, for his selfless service of bringing back Nigerians from South Africa.
The lawmaker said if his colleagues can do as urged, it will signpost a new beginning for Nigeria, adding that well meaning Nigerians all over the world may even offer more than money but employment as well.
“With this selfless service by Mr. Onyema, it means those good Nigerians are back in Nigeria. We should erase in our mind that problems concerning Nigeria should be left for our government to solve rather other well meaning Nigerians should emulate the gesture”,he said.
